Dear ASERL partners, using the Lanter Kudzu Courier, It is the time of year that books, never received, either going to or returning from the Lender or Borrower, are assessed and invoices prepared. We have a great number of books that simply vanished through the shared courier system and no doubt, many of you have as well. In light of this very concerning situation, I am interested in what other Kudzu Libraries plan to do as it relates to invoicing. Are we inclined to make the claim for the many books lost through Lanter/Kudzu and invoice the remaining amount to the Borrower? Or are any libraries inclined to 'forgive' the loss to the Borrowing library in this case? Thanks in advance for thoughts and feedback. You may contact me 'off list' or call to discuss this further.
