Good morning, ASERL Friends: Anyone with connection to the outside world is aware that Hurricane Hermine made landfall overnight along the Florida gulf coast. I’ve checked with our members
in the impacted areas. All are reporting no damage to their libraries at this time, although they are dealing with lots of rain & power outages. FSU and U-Florida are closed today and expect to re-open tomorrow. Further up the coast, East Carolina is expected
to close the campus tonight at 8pm. AFAIK, all other ASERL libraries are operating on a normal schedule. Hopefully Hermine will continue to treat us relatively gently through the holiday. Here’s hoping everyone stays high & dry, and can relax over the long weekend! Take care… --jeb John Burger, Executive Director Association of Southeastern Research Libraries
