FYI – U-South Carolina (SUC) remains closed today; classes are cancelled for the week.  Access to the city remains difficult, at best.  Not sure yet when library staff will come back to work, but please take this into consideration when making loan requests from SUC.

USC has cancelled classes through the end of the week due to conditions after the flooding we've had here. We're waiting to hear about faculty and staff reporting to work, but since I've just gotten power back I wanted to give you, and KUDZU, the heads up.

FYI – The folks at Lanter have deployed the new, temporary format for our delivery labels.  Starting today, the ILL transaction numbers will not be displayed on the labels, to allow for a larger font size for the sort code and other information.  We expect this format to be in place for several months before a more-permanent change (using larger labels) is deployed.

 

NO CHANGES ARE NEEDED at participating libraries to use the new label format.  The new format should appear automatically when you print your next set of labels.  Please let me know if you encounter any difficulties.

 

Our thanks to the Lanter IT team for the fast turnaround on implementing this fix.

 

LAST BUT NOT LEAST:  How are things going generally with the new tracking system?  Is the labelling working as expected?  Has anyone made use of the tracking system yet?  I look forward to hearing more from you as we start to get some experience under our belts.
