ASERL Friends:

 

Our annual statistical survey for the period ending June 30, 2014 is now available.  A copy is attached here and also available on our public website – see http://www.aserl.org/about/stats/.  Lease remember that ASERL libraries may also use the reporting functions available from the Counting Opinions portal (http://aserl.countingopinions.com) to slice/dice the data as desired.

 

NOTES:

1.    You’ll see that this data set does not yet include any data for the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  The new administration there is in the process of ensuring their data is correct, and asked us to proceed with publishing the incomplete data set for the time being.  We will update with UAB’s data as soon as they become available, and will post an announcement about the update to this mailing list.

2.    Data from ARL-ASERL libraries have not yet been verified by ARL staff via their usual processes.  Should ARL staff identify any errors we will update the dataset and post an announcement about the update to this mailing list.

3.    Counting Opinions has provided these data to ACRL, as per our contract with them.  There is no need for ASERL libraries to re-enter the annual survey data in the ACRL portal.  PLEASE NOTE -- Libraries wishing to provide data for ACRL’s Supplemental Questions or the IPEDS questions may now do so via the information provided by ACRL.

 

Many thanks to everyone for their assistance in completing this annual task.  I know it can be a tough slog to compile these data at times – please know that it is very useful information for your ASERL colleagues.  We are most grateful for your efforts!
