As a result of recent Government Printing Office (GPO) correspondence on the plans for the University of Minnesota to serve as the regional depository library for Michigan and the ASERL plan for regional collaboration, a statement was approved yesterday by the board of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL), which is now available at: http://www.arl.org/bm~doc/fdlp_arlstatement_12oct11.pdf.

It has been transmitted to the Public Printer and the Superintendent of Documents.
