Don't forget to register for next week's Shared Print Community Call! We would
love to hear your thoughts. Some questions to consider beforehand:

* How much print weeding do you expect to undertake in the foreseeable future?
(e.g., we need to clear two floors for new purposes, most of our print has been
weeded, etc.)
* Is space-saving still a major driver for your print management?
* What are other concerns for managing your print collections?
* How much print are you still receiving? (e.g., a lot, little to none, or a
rough percentage)
* What would you like to see happen across ASERL libraries to assist with your
library’s print collection management?
* Have you experienced any unexpected effects from designating print copies for
long-term retention?

We need your input! We welcome all interested ASERL members to join a
community call discussion on May 8, 2024, regarding the state and future of
shared print retention programming within ASERL as a consortium.

As libraries increasingly turn staff and funding resources toward electronic
licenses, data services, and less collections-oriented uses of library space,
what issues are shaping print priorities in your libraries? What priorities are
shaping your library’s plans for print collection management and development?
And how can ASERL best support your needs through Scholars Trust, the Rosemont
Shared Print Alliance, or otherwise?

Please forward to interested ASERL colleagues. Your input will help us consider
future directions!
