Woodruff Library 540 Asbury Circle, Suite 316 Atlanta, GA 30322 404-218-4207 -- cellular From: Susan Stearns <sstearns [at] blc.org> Dear Colleagues,
The emergence of streaming media vendors such as Kanopy and Swank has opened the door to questions that touch on the essence of
the work for those of us involved in resource sharing: What can be shared? What are the limits for inter-library loan in a streaming media landscape? What are the legal implications for libraries
when sharing streaming media?
The Media Community of Interest of the Boston Library Consortium (BLC) will host its annual professional development event on Thursday, April 16th from
1:00pm-2:30pm Eastern. This year's event will focus on resource sharing and streaming media, with presentations by representatives from the SILLVR Project and Kyle K. Courtney.
If members of your consortium are interested in learning more about the intersection of streaming media and academic libraries, feel free to invite them
to visit the event's page and register on the BLC website: Resource
