ASERL Friends: A month ago we offered a webinar about Yewno, a new and new-fangled search tool that promises to deliver context-sensitive search results to library users. The session recording, PPT slides, and other background information can be found on our Archive page at www.aserl.org/archive. PRICING / INTEREST IN A GROUP OFFER? The vendor is willing to provide pricing discounts to ASERL members, starting with a flat 10% off list pricing and possibly greater discounts if we have a significant level of participation. That said, the service is not inexpensive -- list price for schools with 5000-7500 FTE are approximately $33K per year; list price for the largest schools in ASERL (50K+ FTE) are in excess of $100K. These fees can be reduced if libraries are willing to make multi-year commitments for Yewno services. Please let me know if your library is interested in pursuing this service. I'll compile any replies and attempt to work with the vendor to secure additional discounts. Thanks for your interest. --jeb John Burger, Executive Director Association of Southeastern Research Libraries (ASERL) NOTE: ASERL has moved! Our new address & telephone number are: ASERL ℅ Robert W.
