ASERL Friends:

Attached and posted to our website (http://www.aserl.org/about/stats/) is the 
preliminary annual statistical report for the period ending June 30, 2015.  A 
few caveats about this spreadsheet:
. Data for ARL libraries has not been fully verified by ARL at this time; it is 
subject to change as ARL's review is ongoing.  I will update this spreadsheet 
if we receive corrected data from ARL in the next few months.
. We had a communication issue with a member library and they have only 
recently received the survey form/instructions; at this point their data is not 
included I the spreadsheet.  We will update this information ASAP.

On another topic:  This was the first year the ARL and ACRL surveys varied in 
the questions they asked from libraries.  We will host a webinar next month 
provide an overview of the differences between ARL's current statistical survey 
and the recent changes to ACRL's survey instrument.  Georgie Donovan, Associate 
Dean of Collections & Content Services at the College of William and Mary, has 
been actively engaged in the evolution of library statistical measures.  
Georgie will lead this session; we hope it will be of interest.
