ASERL Friends:

About a year ago we significantly expanded the level of participation in the ASERL lending pod within the RAPID ILL system.  Attached is a summary of the number of ILL requests filled via OCLC, RAPID, and combined OCLC+RAPID within the Kudzu+RAPID subset of our libraries (which I believe is 10 of the 38 total ASERL libs).

As I mentioned on the Kudzu-Ops conference call a moment ago, the RAPID-only numbers seem low to me – but I was quickly reminded that the load-leveling function of the software attempts to keep load balances at a nice, even pace.

I would welcome comments/questions from anyone on this matter.  Am I missing something here?  Should we be doing something more to increase our use of RAPID within our group?
