Good morning all! Our friends at Google are changing their support for the login functionality that we use for authenticating our database accounts, such as the ASERL Government Documents Disposition Database. They will no longer support
http and are asking that we update our systems to httpS. Beginning Tuesday, August 10, 2021, to access the Disposition Database, please make sure your browser is pointed to:
https://apps.uflib.ufl.edu/govdocs/. If you attempt to access the database via previously saved links (bookmarks/favorites), you will get an authentication error message. On Tuesday, the UF programmers will add a brief alert on the Disposition Database login page (see example image below). If a user encounters an authentication error when logging in, they can click on the https link on the Disposition Database
welcome screen and be redirected. I would like to ask for your help in sharing this information with your colleagues who also use the database. Regionals, please share with your Selectives. As always, please let me know if you have any questions or if I can be of assistance. Thanks!
