Hello all,
The Collection Strategies working group is considering topics of interest to
ASERL’s collections community. One topic that has come up repeatedly is
documenting collection policies—should we have them written out? Should we
update ones we haven’t looked at in a while? What if we actually have several
collections policies across the institution? How can we incorporate
values-based principles into collections policies?

We are considering a webinar in January to focus on some of these issues, and
we’d appreciate your input on whether or not that would be of interest. And if
it is, we’d love to hear from you if you’ve been there and cracked the secrets
of collections policies!

We ask you to please fill out a brief
form<https://forms.gle/raH82wT65UGkCm8VA>, linked below. It should take 3
minutes or less, and multiple responses from a single library are A-OK—you are
welcome to respond as yourself, not as the representative voice of your
library. Please respond by November 16. If you have any questions, feel free to
respond to the list or contact me directly.

Best wishes,
Rebecca
