Hmmm -- I didn't know there was a need for an Ambassador.  I thought this was a 
self-guided, DIY thing.  I will call you, Kathleen, to follow-up and educate

Hi all -

The biggest challenge I've found with Wikipedia projects is to find an 
ambassador who can work with us. Would ASERL be able to sponsor one or solicit 
a team that we could consult with? Is ASERL interested in a Wikipedian in 
residence who might be available to support local efforts to member 
organizations?

Thanks for sending this out! Luckily, I was contacted in December by an alum 
here who is very motivated to help and we're having some discussions about how 
to plan something for spring this afternoon!

ASERL colleagues:

I’m using our “Stumpers” email list to promote participation in the #1Lib1Ref 
campaign launched recently.  The goal is to get every librarian in the world to 
add one credible reference source/citation to a Wikipedia entry to ensure 
Wikipedia users find solid information and data.

Information on how you can participate is available at 
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/The_Wikipedia_Library/1Lib1Ref.  This is a 
self-guided activity – you can do as much or as little as you desire.

I welcome ideas for how ASERL and its members can help foster increased support 
for widely-used public information sources such as Wikipedia.  Share your ideas!
