Hello all, I know the implications of the ADA Title II requirements on university libraries are on everyone’s minds right now. The Resource Sharing Interest Group suggested we consider establishing an expectation that
ASERL libraries provide each other with Title II-compliant scans. We would like your input before we move forward. We are thinking of adding something similar to this sentence to our
Resource Sharing protocols: “When scanning, the supplying library will provide accessible/OCR-readable PDFs that will be usable with text-to-speech software.”
Our questions for you:
Thanks for your wisdom and your assistance! Best wishes, Rebecca Rebecca Crist Program Coordinator for Shared Collections Resources ASERL, the Association of Southeastern Research Libraries 540 Asbury Circle, Suite 316 |
