Good morning!
As you are most likely aware, VCU Libraries is currently undergoing a Resource Sharing system migration to Rapido from ILLiad. Our plan is for Rapido to be fully implemented by July 1 of this year.
Though we had planned to keep ILLiad up and running for as long as possible for lending purposes, our Rapido migration team has advised us that the implementation process would be easier if we turned off lending sooner than later. To allow ourselves time to reconfigure our RapidILL setup and to have as smooth of a migration as possible, we have decided to switch our status to “non-supplier” in OCLC and RapidILL beginning this Friday, April 11 at 12:00pm.
Over the next few months, you’ll be hearing from us as we set up individual agreements with those of you who are not Rapido participants. This will ensure we can continue our strong partnerships in the future.
