Hello all,

A gentle nudge--we’ll be moving along with the process of getting the VPO position approved, but I would still welcome any feedback you might have. Please feel contact me at rebecca [at] aserl.org if you have any thoughts about how we might refine the position or the listing, or if you think you or someone at your organization might be interested.

Second, I’ve received the list of contacts OCLC has for the Express program participants, which you’ll find attached. If you have any corrections, additions, or deletions, you can send them to oclcresourcesharing [at] oclc.org, but I’d love it if you would also copy me so that we can update locally as well.

Thanks everybody. Have a great weekend!

Rebecca

Subject: [aserl-ill] For review: ASERL VPO for resource sharing position description

Hello colleagues:

As you may remember, ASERL began planning last fall to bring on a Visiting Program Officer to help further develop our resource sharing capabilities. A position description was drafted then, with a heavy lean toward controlled digital lending. With recent developments in the Internet Archive case in mind, we have revised this listing and attach the draft version here for your review. Please let us know if you have questions or suggestions. We welcome your feedback through Wednesday, April 19. The announcement will then go to the ASERL Board for approval, and we hope to finalize and publicize the listing quickly thereafter. Feel free to contact me directly at rebecca [at] aserl.org if you have questions or suggestions.

Thank you,

Rebecca
