ASERL Friends:

The ASERL Board of Directors recently endorsed the attached “Statement on Using Controlled Digital Lending as a Mechanism for Interlibrary Loan,” as developed by the CDL Co-Op.  ASERL is joined by BLC, Duke University Libraries, EAST, Orbis Cascade Alliance, PALCI Board of Directors, PALNI, TRLN, and VIVA in this endorsement.  Additional endorsements are expected in the coming days.

The full statement is attached, and can also be found online at https://controlleddigitallending.org/illstatement

This endorsement follows our ongoing exploration of Controlled Digital Lending, including our "Future Thinking" resource guide.

Please let me or any ASERL Board member know any questions.

Thank you.
