ASERL, Kudzu, and WRLC Resource Sharing Friends: Over the past few months, several of us have been talking about ways to streamline ILL processing using our current systems. We investigated IDS, but have decided to hold off on that until we know more about the ILLiad-WorldShare migration. In the interim, we will offer some webinars on how to create basic routing rules in ILLiad, based on the feedback we received from you-all in the recent survey. Our first session will be led by James harper (Wake Forest Univ) and William Gee (East Carola Univ). They will demonstrate how ILLiad Routing Rules can be powerful tools to configure ILLiad processes to meet your workflow needs. James will give a brief introduction on how ILLiad routing rules work and how to create them, and William Gee will demonstrate how to set up two routing rules LIVE and IN COLOR: A) A routing rule that puts requests from distance learners into a different workflow; and B) a routing rule for Lending rule that flags requests that contain a 'DEFAULT' shipping option so their information can be updated in ILLiad. We hope you find this to be useful and interesting information. We hope to develop more how-to sessions about routing rules in the near future -- your input on these is always welcome!
