ASERL and GWLA are pleased to announce that Roger C. Schonfeld, Director, 
Libraries and Scholarly Communication Program at Ithaka S+R, will offer a 
review of the findings in the recently-published report, “Organizing the Work 
of the Research Library.” 

In this project, Ithaka S+R examined the organizational structure of research 
libraries as well as related leadership and change management issues through a 
series of interviews with selected library directors. The project analyzed a 
diversity of models and identified the major commonalities across institutions, 
as well as some of the intentional differences.
