ASERL Friends: I am happy to announce that the George Mason University Libraries (OCLC Symbol = VGM) will join ASERL’s “Kudzu” resource sharing program effective July 1, 2015. This will be the 23rd ASERL library to provide this enhanced level of resource
sharing services for their patrons. Mason will use their own shipping service (UPS) to deliver physical items when needed, as required by the Kudzu participation agreement. “The George Mason University Libraries is pleased to join this growing network of libraries, and to share our collection with the more than 300,000 students, faculty and researchers at notable Kudzu-member institutions throughout the
Southeast,” said John Zenelis, Dean of Libraries and University Librarian. “With Mason's rising stature as one of the leading academic research libraries in the Commonwealth of Virginia, I’m confident this will be a beneficial partnership. We look forward
to expanded collaboration with all of the Kudzu library partners." Started in 2001, Kudzu libraries guarantee expedited service and delivery of items to other participating libraries, providing optimal response to user requests. In 2014, Kudzu libraries shared more than 84,750 items. More information
can be found on the ASERL website at

Thank you. --jeb John Burger, Executive Director Association of Southeastern Research Libraries ASERL c/o Georgia State University Library - Administration Suite LS7 100 Decatur Street SE Atlanta, GA 30303-3202 Telephone: 404-413-2896 Follow ASERL on Facebook: http://on.fb.me/Ziuz2a
