I am hearing from a couple of people that they have contacted  Reprints Desk to create an account and have encountered some delays.  For fastest service, please feel free to contact Tony Landolt directly at tlandolt [at] reprintsdesk.com. 

 

And please let me know if you hit any serious snags in the process – this is a new vendor for us, so good for us to share info about what works/what doesn’t work.

Thanks to everyone who participated in our webinar last week about the “Article Galaxy” service available from Reprints Desk.  The webinar recording and PPT slides are now online at www.aserl.org/archive.

 

If you’d like to experiment with using this service, the following links should prove helpful in establishing an account with Reprints Desk.  As noted in the webinar, ASERL libraries receive a modest discount on the RD service fees.  Additionally, Reprints Desk has negotiated discounts on copyright fees with a broad array of publishers.  Libraries can use Reprints Desk services as much or as little as desired – one time as an experiment, or on an ongoing basis to help fill requests for unusual/hard-to-find items.
