ASERL Friends: I am most pleased to announce the College of William & Mary’s Earl Gregg Swem Library (OCLC Symbol = VWM) will join the “Kudzu” resource sharing program effective February 1,
2015. This will be the 22nd ASERL library to provide this enhanced level of resource sharing services for their patrons. W&M will use their own shipping service (UPS?) to deliver physical items when needed, as required by the Kudzu participation
agreement. “We at Swem Library are excited to be joining this close-knit, high-performing group of libraries,” commented Carrie Cooper, Dean of Libraries. “I am confident this will be a
mutually beneficial arrangement – William & Mary has a renowned collection and a great team of librarians who provide top-notch services to patrons, and our Kudzu library partners have more than a decade-long track record of service excellence.” Started in 2001, Kudzu libraries guarantee expedited service and delivery of items to other participating libraries, providing optimal response to user requests. In 2014, Kudzu
libraries shared more than 84,750 items. More information can be found on the ASERL website at
