Hi John

Getting this set up.

For the OCD in me, the next time we add (yay!)/subtract (heaven forbid) a library, could we ask that the list be put in a different order?

It’s currently alphabetical by state except for NC, which is at the bottom??

Symbol order is good for libraries, but since this is more for Lanter, perhaps just fixing the state order would help.

Thank you for all you do for us

Subject: [kudzu-ops] Temporary Change in Process for Lanter shipments
Importance: High

Kudzu-Lanter Friends:

As you know, we have been working with staff from Lanter Delivery Systems to address some nagging service problems as part of our contract review/renewal.  This has included documenting the various processes needed for using LDS as a courier, which has highlighted some inconsistent practices by both local Lanter contractors/drivers as well as at some of our libraries.

We expect Lanter to be able to implement point-to-point scanning of parcels later this year – hopefully by October 1, 2014.  This should greatly aid in tracking shipments and providing better turnaround data.  In the meantime, we have been asked to implement the following change in our processes as a temporary, stop-gap measure:

*** Each Kudzu-Lanter library will email a copy of their daily “Lanter PickUp Record” to cgreen [at] lanterdeliverysystems.com  & khenry [at] lanterdeliverysystem.com for each day of service.  The library should continue to provide a paper copy of the “Lanter PickUp Record” to the local driver at time of pick-up. ***

We’d like each participating library to implement this process change no later than July 15, 2014.  If you can start emailing copies before 7/15/2014 that's fine -- sooner is better.  A copy of the Lanter PickUp Record is attached and also available on our website at http://bit.ly/1mA28dB.  By providing this information to the Atlanta office of LDS they can have better data to track shipments until point-to-point scanning is implemented.

Please let me know any questions or concerns.  Thanks in advance for your help with implementing this change.
