ASERL Friends:

As part of some technology changes, all ASERL listservs are now using slightly different addresses – instead of  (listname)@aserl.org, please use  (listname)@aserl-lists.org when you want to post a message to the list.  For example, the aserl-deans listserv is now accessible via aserl-deans [at] aserl-lists.org

This change does not affect email addresses for individual ASERL staff (Cheryle Cole-Bennett and me), only for ASERL’s listservs/email lists.

Please note that if you use the "auto-complete" feature in Outlook for sending messages – very handy for quickly filling in addresses – it will need to be updated to reflect this change.  Instructions for updating the auto-complete information within your Outlook system are below:

For Outlook 2010 Users

1. Open a new email message.

2. Type the first few characters of the nickname cache entry that you want to remove from the cache (i.e., any listserv addresses using @aserl.org.

3. When the entry appears in the "suggested names" list, move your mouse pointer over the name until it becomes highlighted. (But do not click the name).

4. When the "X" icon appears next to the highlighted name, click X to remove the name from the list.

For Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2003 Users

1. Open a new email message.

2. Type the first few characters of the nickname cache entry that you want to remove from the cache.

3. When the entry appears in the "suggested names" list, use the UP and DOWN arrow keys on your keyboard to select the entry, and then press DELETE on your keyboard.

Thanks for your patience as we navigate these technology changes.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you encounter any difficulties.
