All, As you know, the city of Tuscaloosa sustained severe damage in the tornadoes last week. The University Libraries and the campus are fine. It is amazing that we had no damage on campus. We have just re-opened this morning but all of our staff have not yet returned to work. Many students lost homes and, therefore, lost library books. We are beginning to sort through all of this with them. Cornelia Davis is working on a report so we can see how many ILL books we have from other libraries. We may not recover some of them and will work with you to resolve any issues associated with lost books. Some will need extensions for due dates. We would appreciate your assistance in extending due dates so students and faculty can get books back to us. Since final exams were canceled many students have left town and we anticipate that we will receive books in the mail. Thank you for your assistance. Millie Jackson Mildred L.
