In case you had not seen, OCLC is publicizing the latest results from the IMLS-funded REALM Project to test the viability of the coronavirus on different types of library materials.  The latest results are available at https://www.webjunction.org/news/webjunction/test2-results.html

 

In short:

1. Coronavirus was detectable for up to two days in stacked archival folders; (i.e., not viable after two days)
2. Coronavirus was detectable for up to four days in braille pages, glossy book pages, and board book in stacked configurations (i.e., not viable after four days)
3. Coronavirus remained detectable in trace amounts after four days in stacked magazine pages

** Test 2 indicates a slightly longer quarantine time for some types of cellulose-based paper materials sitting in a stacked configuration may be required to render SARS-CoV-2 undetectable than was previously understood. **
