below for the committee charge.

If you’d like to help with this endeavor, please contact me or Tracie Krumbine

Subject: [lib.laaac] Request for volunteers for new Member Support Committee

Hi all, we are seeking 3-4 volunteers to join the new Member Support Committee.
I have copied the committee charge below. Please contact me if you are
interested. Thank you, Tracie

The Member Support Subcommittee supports the LAA through effective onboarding
and ongoing member engagement. This work is needed to increase knowledge within
the LAA to more efficiently support its projects and mission to increase
belonging for people with disabilities in libraries. It also ensures equal
representation of the consortia throughout the work. The Member Support
Subcommittee is meant to:

· create and maintain an onboarding process for LAA members, including
knowledge of accessibility and the LAA;

· maintain membership status for each person and track who is on what
committee, determining if a consortium is overrepresented or underrepresented
in any area; and

· identify projects or needs from member consortia and institutions
that are of interest to LAA.

The group focuses on the internal growth of LAA members’ knowledge and skills
in accessibility and disability support action. Each member can then more
readily support LAA activities and bring knowledge back to their institutions
and consortia.
