Subject: ASERL Job Opp: Program Coordinator for Shared Collection Resources

ASERL Friends:

As you may know, our longtime colleague Cheryle Cole-Bennett will retire at the
end of December 2022, following 14 years of dutiful service to the Association.
 Cheryle's role is/has been a part-time position; the ASERL Board and
membership recently approved an expansion of the role to become a full-time
post for her successor, including some additional responsibilities.

We are excited to announce the successor role is now posted via our host
organization, Emory University!

  * To optimize the pool and encourage nontraditional candidates to consider
the position, we are posting the job simultaneously as a staff role (college
degree + 5 years' relevant experience required) and as a
librarian/faculty-equivalent role (advanced degree required + 5 years' relevant
experience).
  * I want to be clear: There is only one job available. The job duties are
essentially the same in both postings; benefits differ by employment
classification.
  *   STAFF POSTING:
https://staff-emory.icims.com/jobs/97845/job<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fstaff-emory.icims.com%2Fjobs%2F97845%2Fjob&data=05%7C01%7Cmichol.hilton%40emory.edu%7C4bc6af9e9dc7464bd3a808da7c641f97%7Ce004fb9cb0a4424fbcd0322606d5df38%7C0%7C0%7C637959066713700496%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=iaVPOf8Ru26y7G5160xR0R0efiWe2LiShAMIJj32fWA%3D&reserved=0>
  *   LIBRARIAN / FACULTY-EQUIVALENT POSTING:
https://faculty-emory.icims.com/jobs/98200/job<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Ffaculty-emory.icims.com%2Fjobs%2F98200%2Fjob&data=05%7C01%7Cnecharl%40emory.edu%7Cfdf45a1d08714391cece08da7ec0884c%7Ce004fb9cb0a4424fbcd0322606d5df38%7C0%7C0%7C637961662625233345%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=o4L3ofFrm6WHV0ENH0UWceWy6d3atkSDpDiVuSBzbmw%3D&reserved=0>
  *   SALARY RANGE = $65,000 - $75,000/year dependent on qualifications and
experience
  * Anticipated start date = mid-November or early December 2022, to allow
for some overlap with Cheryle before she retires

Please help us spread the word about this opportunity! Relocation to Atlanta
is not required for this position. ASERL is a small, entrepreneurial, and
people-centric organization that values diversity and inclusion. We encourage
those from nontraditional backgrounds within libraries or consortia to review
and apply. We offer a competitive salary and, as employees of Emory
University, a generous package of employment benefits.

Questions about the role can be directed to me at jburger [at]
