Announcing the Library Accessibility Alliance call for proposals!
(Deadline April 8th, 2022)

Beginning in Spring and Summer 2022, the Library Accessibility Alliance (LAA)
will host a series of webinars open to its membership related to the theme of
"accessibility as a core value." These sessions are meant to focus on
developing skills and competencies at the cultural and institutional-level to
augment more widely available technological and standards-based training
materials related to the accessibility of library collections, spaces, and
other resources.

This important but often overlooked aspect of accessibility work involves
cultivating "cultures of accessibility" within institutions so that labor
related to this area is sustainable and impactful. The LAA views this work as
aligned with equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives in libraries and
believe that in order for anyone tasked with accessibility-related labor to be
successful, their institution must support the work through long-term,
structural commitments.

Submit your proposal:
The LAA invites all members to submit proposals for webinars (approximately 1
hour in length) that fall within the theme of "accessibility as a core value"
using this Google Form:
