The workshop, "Copyright regulations and libraries: The CASE Act and how to make your voice heard" is aimed at helping librarians understand the copyright regulatory process and how they can help inform and shape those rules in the future. The focus of this session is in particular on recent proposed rules (see https://www.copyright.gov/rulemaking/case-act-implementation/library-opt-out/) for a new copyright small claims system (the CASE Act) that affect libraries. The Library Copyright Institute is a project to develop a program of systematic, deep instruction in copyright law for librarians. The Institute is specifically targeted at training librarians at institutions with fewer resources and no copyright expert on staff. The project is funded in part with support from the Institute for Museum and Library Services.
