Howdy, John -
We are excited to share this new initiative and position at Georgia State.
Would you mind forwarding to our ASERL colleagues?
Best,

Announcing a new grant-funded fellowship (Jan-Dec 2021) at Georgia State
University. With support from the Public Interest Technology University
Network<https://www.newamerica.org/pit/university-network/>, we are seeking a
doctoral (ABD considered) or master's degree recipient with interests in data
literacy for the public good and building a more diverse pipeline of
undergraduate students pursuing careers in data science.
The inaugural Public Interest Data Literacy (PIDLit)
Fellow<https://library.gsu.edu/files/2020/11/PIDLitFellow-AD-21-105-11.2020.pdf>
will help us launch the PIDLit
initiative<https://research.library.gsu.edu/PIDLit> - led by the Georgia State
University Library with multiple partners - which seeks to expand data literacy
outreach to first-year students, fostering a career pipeline that is stronger
and more diverse in terms of race, ethnicity, ability, gender, and
socioeconomic status.
A telework option is available.
Please see the full position
announcement<https://library.gsu.edu/files/2020/11/PIDLitFellow-AD-21-105-11.2020.pdf>
(pdf). Review of materials will begin immediately, with applications received
by December 10, 2020, receiving full consideration.
