Assessment Manager, University of South Carolina Libraries
The University of South Carolina seeks an Assessment Manager to develop a 
comprehensive and strategic assessment program for University Libraries.  This 
individual will develop and lead projects that generate useful data about the 
impact of University Libraries and analyze and report this information to 
inform decision making. He/she will provide guidance and expertise to 
colleagues in evaluation and measurement of library activities. The Assessment 
Manager works with a team of librarians who have responsibility for 
coordinating assessment activities in the areas of user experience, research 
and instruction, and collections. Responsibilities include:

  *   Analyze quantitative and qualitative data gathered from various sources 
including library systems, vendor statistics, observations, surveys, web 
analytics, interviews, and focus groups and facilitate the use of this data to 
support strategic library initiatives.
  *   Investigate and communicate new methods for data collection, analysis, 
and documentation, and contribute to ongoing efforts to improve data collection 
  *   Recommend, implement and maintain systems to collect, store, and 
disseminate data.
  *   Implement best practices for efficient and sustainable data collection, 
data privacy, data management, and data storage.
  *   Measure progress toward strategic goals and prepare reports to library 
administration as required as well as annual reports and accreditation 
documents to the University and other external agencies.
