On Behalf Of John Burger ASERL Resource Sharing Friends: Here’s a quick list of ASERL institutions that have closed / are closing in advance of Hurricane Florence. Most hope to re-open on Sunday evening or early Monday. We will provide updates as more information
becomes available. Duke University – classes cancelled starting 5pm Tuesday East Carolina University – Joyner Library closing 4pm Wednesday NC State Univ – Hunt & Hill libraries closing 10pm Wednesday UNC Chapel Hill – Libraries closing 5pm Wednesday UNC Charlotte – Classes cancelled starting 5pm Wednesday UNC Greensboro – all university activities closing 12pm Wednesday University of South Carolina – Columbia campus closed beginning Wednesday University of Virginia – TBD Virginia Commonwealth – Campus closing on Thursday Virginia Tech – Saturday football (against ECU) is cancelled; other operations open at this time Wake Forest University – Emergency plan to be announced 1pm Wednesday William & Mary – campus closed as of Wednesday Stay high & dry out there, people! --jeb John Burger, Executive Director Association of Southeastern Research Libraries (ASERL) c/o Robert W.
